Lakers vs. Nets

The one that got away .... This is starting to become a common theme. This young team lacks the ability to close out games. However, it is nice to see that they don't give up. They started the game horribly (10 pts in the first quarter) but battled back. They need to find a way to get a more balanced offense. They are relying on Kobe too much, he took 36 shots in this one. That is way too many.

What happend to Lamar Odom? Talk about disappearing. 1 for 11 for a whopping 8 points. It's just going to be really hard for the Lakers to win regualarly with Kobe scoring almost half their points and Lamar scoring barely any. They need a 2nd scoring threat and Lamar seems like the likely candidate, at least until Bynum is ready to take over that role.

The comeback was fun to watch, Kobe went off in the 2nd half. It was also nice to see someone else hit the big shot. Nice one Cook! Too bad they fell short in OT. I think they had their chances and this is one they should have won. Oh well, it's in the books ... off to the next one.

Lakers lose 102-96, Record 5-7
